Sustainability
Prioritising sustainable design
We are committed to creating a sustainable future for our residents and the wider community. That’s why solar panels generating clean electricity and electric car charging points will come as standard in every home on the site. This not only reduces reliance on the grid and potentially lowers energy bills, but also contributes to a cleaner and greener way of living.

Biodiversity
Helping local wildlife thrive
We know that sustainable development isn’t just about energy efficiency and materials – it is about creating a harmonious environment that works for people and wildlife.
As a result, we are putting a lot of thought into how our plans at Ashburton Road can deliver benefits for local wildlife. We are committed to delivering a net gain in biodiversity and we are looking to provide new areas of planting to provide additional habitats.
We would also like to hear from you if you have any ideas on potential initiatives we could incorporate into the plans, such as swift bricks and bat boxes. Let us know by visiting our Have your say page and completing our survey.

Location
Homes in a sustainable location
One of the benefits of the Ashburton Road site is that is provides an opportunity to deliver much-needed affordable homes in a sustainable location. With a range of amenities within easy walking distance, it will reduce the need for future residents to rely on car travel to access essential services.
